THE LAST PUSH!

In 2016 80097 will return to steam for the first time in preservation, some 50 years after it was first saved from Dai Woodham’s scrapyard. Since then a truely dedicated team of volunteers have been undertaking the momumentus task of restoring this steam engine which grace the rails of the ELR for years to come.

The steaming of 80097 will be a special moment for all those that have been involved in her restoration or who worked on the locomotive during the last days of British Railways steam.

In order to realise that dream we need your help to finish the job off. The restoration is moving towards completion as the boiler continues to progress off site, however many components require funding.

Boiler tubes, stays, screws, bolts, rivets and many other components are required to ensure the boiler returns to the ELR in 2016 so 80097 can continue where it left off decades ago.

We have a number of sponsorship opportunities to support ‘The Last Push’ and would be grateful if you would consider us and make a donation 80097 back in service sooner rather than later. Below you can see how you can support 80097 today to help make sure 80097 steams in 2016. Thank you.
