Autumn Steam Gala

22 – 23 October

Our Autumn Steam Gala returns this year starring the “Super D”, the last locomotive of its kind. Running an intensive timetable all day with all steam only services, if your feeling nostalgic or simply have a thing for steam power then this is the gala for you. The following steam locomotives are confirmed:

Please note that 71000 “Duke of Gloucester’s” return to the East Lancashire Railway has been delayed and so it will not be featuring in the Steam Gala.

There is also a special Night Shoot taking place on the 22 October, allowing photographers the chance to take unique shots. The Night Shoot begins at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start and will cost £15 per participant.

If after visiting the gala you are still hungry for more heritage vehicles then come to the Transport Collectors Fair that is happening over at the Bury Transport Museum. The fair features stalls full of memorabilia, models, road and rail books and more.

Entry to the Bury Transport Museum is free with an East Lancashire Railway Day Rover Ticket!
