Steam Weekend and Transport Collectors' Fair

    This popular steam weekend at the East Lancashire Railway runs alongside the Transport Collectors’ Fair within the fascinating Bury Transport Museum. Take a ride on one of the home fleet or guest steam locos running all weekend then pop into the museum to browse stalls full of vintage collectables and souvenirs.

    Transport Collectors' Fair

    Visit the Bury Transport Museum's Transport Collectors' Fair and view a selection of railway relatated collectibles including, displays from the Meccano Society, a Gauge One Model Railway Layout and a 0 Gauge Railway.

    February Steam Event Mini Photo Charter

    The loco will be visiting Standard Five 73129 and as we have already run full day charters with the parcels set and a mixed freight, this time we will run with an engineering train comprising ballast hoppers and bogie flats. As usual, the event will take place at Burrs - for more information click the download at the bottom of this page. 

    Photography Experience

    Calling all photographers: Get behind the scenes at the East Lancashire Railway on one of our busiest gala weekends of the year. Whether you're just starting out or are a bit of a shutterbug, this half day expert led experience provides a great introduction into camera techniques and settings in the surrounds of a bustling heritage railway. Go behind the scenes, in areas not open to public access, and capture both home fleet engines and visiting locos steam up and down the line.
