    Steam into the holiday!

It's that time again, the kids are looking forward to a whole week without school and you're looking forward to finding things to keep them busy during that time. Well why not let the East Lancashire Railway help? With special offers for geat value days out, craft workshops for busy little minds and even a Diesel Gala, there's never been a better time to turn your family into a real steam team!

Take a look at our list of top picks:

    Take a Train Ride

Introduce your little one to a whole new way to travel. For children and adults alike there's something truly magical about steam trains, from the character and personality of each engine, the toot of the whistle and the billowing clouds of steam, to the sedate pace and the opportunity to make a trip as much about the journey as the destination. Bring the family and make a memory!

Steam Trains will be running from 15 - 19 February, find timetables and fares here.

    Get Crafty at the BTM

Perfect for keeping the children busy over the holiday period, this drop in craft workshop will see them put their artistic skills to the test. Perhaps you will be illustrating your dream railway line, or building a dancing train guard puppet, the only limit is your imagination. The workshop runs from 11am - 3pm on Wednesday 17 Feb. Entry is standard museum admission plus £1 per child to cover material costs.
