All aboard for a Day Out With Thomas!
Meet Thomas the Tank Engine™ and his friends, who are waiting to greet you at the East Lancashire Railway!
This fun filled day out for all the family includes:

- Meeting The Fat Controller, Percy, Mavis, Bulgy and Diesel
- Unlimited Travel on Steam and Diesel trains
- Thomas Themed Activities in the Imagination Station, including, Tabletop Games, Colouring, Thomas Films

The Fat Controller's Opening Ceremony will take place at 9:45am each day. Activities will finish at 4pm and the Fat Controller will close the event at 3:45pm.

Please note, entry to Bury Transport Museum is with event ticket only.
The Day Out with Thomas event takes place across the length of the railway and tickets can be purchased from Bury, Heywood, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall station on the day. Visitors that already have their tickets can start their day out from any of the above stations.
Due to the limited amount of parking in Bury, especially on a busy special event day, it is recommended that visitors travelling by car park in the large, free car park at our Heywood Station and travel to Bury and/or Ramsbottom onboard Daisy the DMU.
Located less than a mile from Junction 19 of the M62, Heywood Station is easily accessible (via Railway Street) and can be reached by typing the postcode OL10 1LX into a Sat Nav.
Bury's Metrolink Tram Station is located just a few minutes walk away from our Bury Bolton Street Station and is an ideal way to get to the event from areas across Greater Manchester. With fantastic off-peak travel rates and Park and Ride facilities available throughout the city, travelling by tram is a great value, stress free way to get to the East Lancashire Railway.
