The Pirate Adventure

    Yo-Ho-Ho Me Hearties

    Don your eye-patch, splice the main brace and join us for this fantastic, pirate themed, family fun day. Bring your aspiring little buccaneers along for a day of high adventure and steam powered plundering with activities galore across the entire railway.

    Set sail aboard the Pirate Express and travel the length and breadth of the East Lancs line on a swashbuckling adventure to break an ancient curse, battle enemy pirates and find the ancient treasure. X marks the spot in this fantastical family day out where you’ll join our cast of characters as they take you on a magical journey you’ll never forget!

    What's Included?

    • One return trip from Bury to Rawtenstall hauled by one of our very own galleon's, a heritage steam train
    • A two hour buccaneering experience with some of East Lancashire's Scurviest Dogs
    • Pirate themed activities
    • Plenty of photo opportunities

    Grub (food) and grog (drink) will be available to purchase from our café on Platform 3/4 at Bury Bolton Street Station and from our on-train buffet.

    The morning event will begin promptly at 10am and finish at approximately 12pm.

    The afternoon event will begin promprtly at 12:40pm and finish at approximately 15:15pm.
