We'll Meet Again
It’s a long road to Tipperary so why not stop along the way to get into the swing of things at this incredibly popular vintage spectacular. Dig out that polka dot dress, wax that moustache and put on your dancing shoes for a weekend of all singing, all dancing, all action fun!
Keep up-to-date with the latest 1940s Weekend news by "liking" us on Facebook.
The 1940s Weekend takes place across the length of the railway and tickets can be purchased from Bury, Heywood, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall stations on the day. Visitors that already have their ticket can start their day out from any of the above stations.
Due to the limited amount of parking in Bury, especially on a busy special event day, it is recommended that visitors travelling by car park in the large, free car park at our Heywood Statiion and travel to Bury and or/Ramsbottom on one of the regularly scheduled services.
Located less than a mile from Junction 19 of the M62, Heywood Station is easily accessible (vis Railway Street) and can be reached by typing the postcode OL10 1LX into a Sat Nav.
Bury's Metrolink Tram Station is located just a few minutes walk away from our Bury Bolton Street Station and is an ideal way to get to the event from areas across Greater Manchester. With fantastic off-peak travel rates and Park and Ride facilities available throughout the city, travelling by tram is a great value, stress free way to get to the East Lancashire Railway. Find out more by downloading the Network Map or by visiting www.metrolink.co.uk.
