Steaming send off
Make sure not to miss the last large scale steam gala of the ELR’s calendar! A fantastic way to ward off the winter chill.
An all steam timetable will be running all weekend, with home fleet locos and special guests hauling passenger services.
Confirmed locomotives include:
- GWR 4270 - appearing courtesy of the GWSR and Icons of Steam
- GWR 2857 - appearing courtesy of the SVR and the 2857 Owning Group
- LMS 6233 "Duchess of Sutherland" - appearing courtesy of the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust

Discounted advanced tickets will be taken off sale 24 hours before the start of an event, the below tickets will be available from manned stations on the day.
On-the-Day Ticket Prices
Single and return fares are suspended for this event. Instead you can purchase a rover ticket which gives you unlimited travel all day, or a full line round trip ticket.

Disabled toilet facilities are available on most operating days at Bury, Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall and Heywood Stations as well as Bury Transport Museum.
