    The East Lancashire Railway hops into spring with a season of funny, bunny delights to mark this special time of year. From enthusiast events and bike rallies to powerful princesses and a ride behind Britain’s fastest steam engine, there's so much to see and do!

    Scotsman on Show, 29 – 31 March & 1 – 2 April

    The legendary Flying Scotsman makes a long anticipated return to the East Lancashire Railway as she visits for a series of static displays. Make your spring one to remember by getting up close and personal with this industrial icon, pick up a ticket to enjoy an expert led talk and tour on the footplate of the engine itself!

    Tornado the 100mph Engine, 29 – 31 March & 1 – 2 April

    The Easter Bank Holiday Weekend looks set to be a real storm for lovers of all things transport, in no small part thanks to the presence of the mighty Tornado! Britain’s newest steam engine appears alongside the world’s most famous (Flying Scotsman) and will be running passenger services throughout the event. Come along for some real steam train treats!

    Classic Bike Rally, 1 April

    This exhibition of petrol powered mean machines is sure to get your motor running. Set outside the fascinating Bury Transport Museum, this vintage vehicle display will feature a host of two wheeled titans from across the decades.     Princess Academy, 12 April

    Once upon a time the magical gems of Storybook Land were stolen by a maleficent gang of villains, and it is up to you and a cast of your favourite fairy-tale characters to join the quest to get them back and rescue everyone’s happily ever afters, learning all of the prized princess skills and knightly know-how you will need along the way.
