    Wave the flag for the home county as we celebrate the day Lancashire sent its first representatives to Parliament.

    What’s Included

    Come along for some folksy family fun as the ELR plays host to traditional Morris Dancers and a town crier reading out Lancashire Day proclamations. Home cooked hot pot and other local favourites will also be available.

    Best of all for every two passengers that wear a red rose, one adult pays the full line fare and second goes free! (not to be used with any other promotion).

    You can also refuel with the Homemade Lancashire hot pot on sale both at the Trackside and the Platform 3 Buffet. The Friends of Real Lancashire will also be in attendance with a stall.

    • John Crook Westhoughton town crier Both days will read the Lancashire proclamation at 12.00pm on Platform 3 at Bolton street station, Bury *.

    Sunday 24 November

    Brittania coconutters ( Will dance at Rawtenstall prior to joining the train for Bury)

    * Dancing will commence formally from 12noon on both days then dancers will travels along the line stopping off at Ramsbottom.

    During the weekend the booking office, gift shop and buffet will be open from approximately 10am – 4pm. The Trackside Bar will also be open 10:30am – 12am (Saturday) and 10:30am – 11pm (Sunday).
