Strange happenings are afoot this Halloween at ELR ... Rumour has it that there have been recent sightings of the notorious - “Irwell Grimm” who's been spooking the staff and locals along the track of ELR.

Are you BRAVE ENOUGH to join up with the Monster Squad and investigate this mystery? To add to the fun this year we have a socially distanced meet and greet with some FANTASTIC spooky Halloween characters who will be happy to share their terrifying tales of the “Grimm”- and maybe pose for a selfie or two as well!

    • Enjoy a terrifying train ride from Bury to Irwell Vale and back. The return journey takes approximately 65 minutes.
    • Get a chance to have spooky, socially distanced meet and greet with our very own Monster Squad as they tell the gripping and ghoulish tale of the "Grimm", be sure to get some spine-tingling selfies.
    • Show off your spooky side and make the most of your masks with thrilling fancy dress. Will you be a PPE wearing poltergeist or a face masked Frankenstein?

As we strive to deliver a spooktacular experience, the Halloween entertainment offering will be different than in previous years due to COVID related government guidelines on performances. We will comply with these fully and therefore the locations of the entertainment offered may be different than in previous years. There will be more station based interaction than onboard the train itself. Please arrive in plenty of time to enjoy the station and meet and greet opportunities prior to boarding.

"Excellent experience, the station was very atmospheric with smoke, music and ghoulish characters. On board the actors were in character for the journey scaring the passengers or making them laugh." - Lady Di, Tripadvisor
