Start your journey with us…

Along with the dress, cake and of course the spouse themselves, the venue is a vital ingredient of a successful wedding.
The East Lancashire Railway can provide a memorable and quirky wedding experience, letting you choose from a range of options and locations. Enjoy an intimate reception on the vintage Observation Saloon or make the most of photo opportunities on the footplate, we pull out all of the stops to make the most important day of your life truly special.

Location, location, location

Bury Bolton Street Station offers a full, vintage railway experience. Your ceremony will take place on the platform (licensed for 100 people) under the traditionally decorated canopy and the station has a lot of potential for live music and other entertainments, subject to your wishes and ideas!

Wedding packages

Imagine tying the knot as a gleaming steam train pulls into the station, your wedding breakfast aboard a luxuriously appointed Pullman style carriage, a delicious Afternoon Tea in the inimitable surrounds of a genuine 1920s Observation Saloon, a party on the platform or an evening reception night at the museum; these are just a few of the possibilities open to prospective brides and grooms on the East Lancashire Railway!

We're currently in the process of putting together some exciting new wedding packages, due to launch in early 2020. In the meantime, if you would like to be added to our list to find out more about the East Lancashire Railway's wedding offering in the future, please complete the form below.
