Join the East Lancashire Railway as we steam into springtime with “choc” full even programme. If you’re looking for an old school Easter egg hunt, wild about wacky wizards or desperate to dally with some dinosaurs we have something to for you.

Wizard Academy, 11 April
It’s your first day at the Grand Old School of Wizardry, and the faculty need your help! A mob of marauding warlocks have made off with a magical artefact, and it is up to you and a cast of eccentric enchanters to get it back in this interactive adventure.
The quest lasts two hours and includes a return steam train trip with a cast of wizardly actors, wizard themed activities and plenty of photo opportunities. Tickets cost £14 per adult and £9.50 per child.
Dinky Dinosaur Adventure, 18 April
A steam powered safari of roar-some proportions, join a herd of Jurassic juveniles and their handlers and learn all about tiny tyrannosaurs, small stegosaurs and Triceratops toddlers. Complete the activities and become a dino-wrangling expert!
The adventure last two hours and includes a return steam train trip alongside adventurous dinosaur tamers and their baby pet dinos, dinosaur themed activities and lots of photo opportunities. Tickets cost £14 per adult and £9.50 per child.
Bury Transport Museum Spring Fete, 19 – 20 April
Start your spring in style with this fantastic fete taking place at Bury Transport Museum. Enjoy a host of fun activities and entertainments including raffles, tombolas and lucky dips, beat the goalie and other games, and even a chance to meet the railway’s own Buffers The Cat!
There will also be artistic activities for the creatively inclined and (Buffers’ personal favourite) Hook a Duck! Entrance into the museum is free though some activities may charge.
Easter Egg Hunt, Meet the Owls and Make Sand Art, 19 – 22 April
A hat trick of Easter Excitement! Start by challenging yourself to complete the Easter Egg Hunt along the 12-mile line before stopping to have a hoot with a live Owl display and getting your hands dirty by trying some sand art.
