If you are looking for grand mystery and high adventure you have boarded the right train. Whether you urge to exercise those little grey cells and wax your moustache on a murder mystery dining train or sojourn with St Nick on the Santa Specials, the railway has something for you!

So take a minute to peruse our five-star menu of things to see and do along the line below.

Amazing Appetizer – Exciting events of East Lancashire

The East Lancashire Railway hosts an all you can eat buffet of events ranging from family friendly fun to enthusiast-centric exhibitions. Join us as we celebrate the day Lancashire sent its first representatives to Parliament on our Lancashire Weekend, 18 and 19 November. This exciting day out features folksy Lancastrian favourites like Morris Dancing, live entertainment and even Lancashire Hotpot.

If Folk dancing isn’t your thing, why not kick off your Christmas celebrations with a trip on the Incredibly popular Santa Specials! These special yuletide trains run every weekend, 25 November to 17 December, and every day from the 21 to the 24 December. Board a beautifully decorated carriage for a steam powered ride through a Winter wonderland whilst Santa and his crew of helpers head through the train and hand out gifts.

Even more fantastic events are set to be added in 2018 so watch this space!
