Drive a Train Experiences

You probably already think your Dad is superman, but there’s only one sure fire way to make him as fast as a speeding locomotive… by booking him a spot on one of our Drive a Train experiences!

Whether he’s a diesel disciple of steam supremo we have the perfect course. Each experience includes the opportunity to drive and fire, or act as the second man, on one of our lovingly restored heritage steam or diesel engines.

Lunch and a behind the scenes tour for the participant and guests can also be included.

Rail Ale Trails

These professionally guided tours make an excellent gift for those with an interest in history and ale, especially if they like to combine the two.

Dad will embark on a steam powered pub crawl around the Irwell Valley, relaxing whilst being regaled with the amusing, and occasionally gruesome, histories of the local area and sampling some of the finest ales the county of Lancashire has ever produced.

Every trail follows a specific theme and includes a filling pub lunch and complimentary tipple.

Photography Experience

Does your dad have an artistic streak? Let him unleash his inner auteur on one of our guided Photography experiences.

Recommended for amateurs and veteran shutterbugs alike, these sessions include hands on tuition from our partners at North West Photography Courses. Everyone is sure to get something out of the experience, even if it’s just a lovely day out with likeminded people.

Lucky Dad’s will take in the length of the Irwell Valley as they hop on and off the trains to snap up the perfect pics!
