You are guaranteed to work up an appetite on your day out at the railway and we would hate to see you leave hungry. Whether you are visiting with your family, friends or colleagues, we offer plenty of places to eat and drink along the line.

The Trackside

Situated on Platform 2 and set against the unique backdrop of Bury Bolton Street Station, The Trackside provides a selection of up to ten real ales as well as award winning ciders and perries. The traditional pub serves Lancashire food, from home-made pies to seasonal dishes using local suppliers wherever possible. The children's menu offers great lunchtime options during your day out at the railway.

The Trackside offers regular entertainment with a Folk Night every last Thursday of the month.

Buffer Stops Bar

Sited at Rawtenstall Station, Buffer Stops offers five ales and one real cider on handpump, a range of lagers, continental beers, traditional pub snacks and locally sourced pies. This cosy bar welcomes both visitors and locals with a friendly atmosphere complete with outdoor seating in Summer and a traditional waiting room adjacent to the main Buffer Stops pub.

The Buffet

Located on platform 3 & 4 at Bury Bolton Street Station, our Buffet offers a place to have a cup of tea or coffee whist waiting for the next train. Pick from a selection of hot and cold drinks as well as sandwiches and snacks, eat in or take out!

Castlecroft Café

Housed in a converted carriage adjacent to Bury Transport Museum, the Café serves hot and cold drinks and a selection of snacks and sandwiches on special event days.

Rawtenstall Café

Located on the platform at Rawtenstall Station, the converted carriage café serves a range of cakes and sweet treats.

Luxury Dining Services

Take an unforgettable trip on one of our steam-hauled dining trains and step into a world of vintage glamour and sophistication, excellent food and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The East Lancashire Railway’s diners represent the ultimate in foodie experiences.
