Metrolink is Greater Manchester’s tram system and is a great way to travel to the East Lancashire Railway with Bury Metrolink stop just a few minutes walk from the line. Metrolink runs from the city centre towards Bury, and by using connecting services it is possible to get to the East Lancashire Railway throughout Greater Manchester.
Tickets and Travelcards
Tickets must be purchased before travel using one of the ticket machines located on the Metrolink platform. There are various off-peak day tickets available and for families and those travelling to multiple destinations via the network, Travelcards represent great value.
If you are visiting the railway during the off-peak period then way not make use of the value for money Travelcard options available from Metrolink. You and the family can save money on parking and fuel as well as taking advantage of a stress free route to Bury.
