  • The East Lancashire Railway is thrilled to announce that the magnificent 60009 “Union of South Africa” will be running passenger services this weekend!

  • Wizard Academy

    Join a magical cast of madcap magicians for an interactive adventure! Brush up on your broomstick flying, work on your wand waving and practice your potions on this sorcerous school trip, just keep an eye open for evil wizards.

    This exciting family outing will see you join quirky characters on a steam train ride, during which you will take part in themed activities to complete the story.

    The morning train begins at approx. 10:25am and finished at approx. 12:30pm. Tickets cost £14 per adult and £9.50 per child.

  • 1940s Weekend

    All singing, all dancing, all amazing! Our popular 1940s Weekend makes a glorious return to the East Lancashire Railway this year, with a “spam” packed event programme that’s not to be missed.

    Highlights include live ENSA entertainment, vehicle exhibitions and historic displays, vintage stalls, high-octane battle re-enactments, a working Spitfire and more!
