  • Following a fire on Pimhole Road in Bury that started last night (2 January) we have taken the decision to amend our train timetable for this weekend.

Part of the line is relatively near to the location of the fire, and although the track has not been damaged by this incident, the we have decided to halt services to and from Heywood on 4 and 5 January to support Greater Manchester Fire Rescue Service’s ongoing efforts.

We will still be running steam and diesel train services between Bury and Rawtenstall throughout the weekend, so join us for a journey through the beautiful Irwell Valley!
