  • Santa Specials Additional Seats

    Santa has an early Christmas present for all of you good little girls and boys that haven’t yet managed to book your Santa Special experiences this year. Due to popular demand, he’s worked a little festive magic and made some additional trains available.

    You can now purchase tickets for the 5pm and 5:50pm trains on the 19th and 20th December 2019!

  • Hear ye, hear ye! Come along for some folksy family fun as the ELR welcomes traditional Morris Dancers, a town crier, home cooked hot pot and other local treats!

    Best of all, for every two passengers wearing a red rose, one adult pays the full line fare and the second travels for free!

  • Class 105 Emma Seddon

    Join us this Saturday as we display the very best in DMU power for a special themed event. This is a rare opportunity to see a lot of these engines in action and take in the panoramic views available from the comfort of their seats.

    Attending locomotives include:

    • Class 104 2 car (Birmingham RCW)
    • Class 105 2 car (Cravens)
    • Class 110 3 car (Birmingham RCW – Calder Valley Unit)
    • Class 122 1 car (Gloucester RCW “Bubbles”)

    Kick off your Christmas in style on the East Lancashire Railway’s Santa Special, a family favourite in the North West. Tickets are selling quickly so book now to ensure you don’t miss out on the festive fun, including:

    • A steam train ride to Rawtenstall and back
