Over the course of our 1940s Weekend, two of our very dedicated volunteers, Jim Murray and Tony Wright, went up-and-down our trains collecting donations for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Following the horrific attack that occurred at the Manchester Arena on 22 May, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital have been working tirelessly to help and support the families affected by that tragic event. Jim and Tony felt compelled to organise a collection for the hospital over our three day event and raised over £500.00.
Jim Murray had a few words to say about the collection;
"I would like to say how humbled and pleased I was to witness the spirit and generosity of all our visitors at our 1940s Weekend. Bless you all!"
Here's a photo of the lovely Jim and Tony meeting the hardworking staff at the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. Thanks to both Jim, Tony and all our wonderful visitors for helping support this deserved charity.
