The East Lancashire Railway is set to celebrate all things ale in the vale at the brand new Beer and Cider Festival – Ales on the Rails. Join us on a steam powered journey along the 12-mile line, where Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall will each be exploring a different aspect of the local brewing scene.
If beer is your bag then visit The Trackside in Bury and rub shoulders with the giants of the industry, and cider savants won’t want to miss the Cider Bar in the Platform Two Activity Centre. Craft Ale connoisseurs should alight at Ramsbottom for a gallery of artistic local craft brews whilst 60s swingers may want to head to Rawtenstall for a healthy dose of groovy tunes and funky ale as the town transforms for the Rossendale 60s Festival.
And we haven’t even mentioned the live music taking place throughout the weekend!
