The East Lancashire Railway is back – Information on reopening.
The East Lancashire Railway is thrilled to announce that, following the most recent government announcements, we are preparing to open our doors once again.
The East Lancashire Railway will be re-opening to the following timelines:
Monday, 12th April: Trackside and Bufferstops Pubs
Saturday, 1st May: Heritage steam and diesel trains will run. Tickets for standard services can be purchased in advance here. Prices are being held until further notice so now is a great time to book.
Dining with Distinction
Friday, 21st May: Dining with Distinction services. If you’re looking to treat yourself, or looking for the perfect gift, then pick from our wide selection of luxury Dining experiences, from Lancastrian Lunches and Red Rose Diners to Mid-Week Luncheons and Murder Mystery nights. Find out more and book here.
1940s Weekend 29 - 31 May 2021
Unfortunately, the decision has been taken to cancel the annual East Lancs Railway 1940’s weekend, due to take place over the Bank Holiday weekend (29 – 31 May). The decision is primarily due to the uncertainty with the lifting of social distancing restrictions. Whilst this will be disappointing for many, visitors will still be able to enjoy a ride on our Heritage Steam and Diesel trains over the same weekend, to a standard Blue Timetable.
Please note that next year's 1940s Weekend is slated for Friday 3 - Sunday 5 June 2021. More details to follow.
