How to get here?


The East Lancashire Railway is easily accessible by all forms of transport. Bury Interchange is a five minute walk away from Bolton Street Station and trams operate at regular intervals directly from Manchester city centre.

(On turning into Cross Street, ignore the Satnav’s instructions to turn immediately left. Drive straight to the end of Cross Street, turn left up the slope to see Heywood station gates on your left)

Ramsbottom Station, Railway Street, Ramsbottom, BL0 9AL

Parking Facilities

Parking is available at all stations but the facilities at Bury are limited and subject to charges except on Sundays. Park & Ride is available at Heywood, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall and all of these stations have free parking facilities.


Wheelchair access is provided at all stations and the Bury Transport Museum, although motorised wheelchairs may have problems with the cobbled sections in the museum. Please ask a member of staff for assistance should you need direction or encounter any difficulties. Disabled toilet facilities can be found at Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall station.
