Day Out With ThomasTM – 2 – 3 August

Full Line Beer Special Rail Ale Trail – 9 August

Sit back, relax, and sample not only a selection of local ales but also the delights of the entire East Lancashire Railway on this sedate tour through the Irwell Valley. The train will take you from Heywood to Rawtenstall along the whole 12 mile ELR route.

A Journey East to Heywood and Rochdale Rail Ale Trail – 23 August

This classic tour sees you take the trip up to Heywood where you will visit local bars and sample fine local ales before taking a genuine vintage bus to Rawtenstall where you will continue your Ale Trail with more bars and pubs.

Teddy Bear’s Party – 25 August

If you go down to the railway today you’re sure of a big surprise… we are welcoming everyone (and their furry friends) back to Bury Transport Museum for the ultimate party. Enjoy fairground attractions, teddy bear parades with prizes for the best dressed teds and a treasure trail up the railway line. Kids with a teddy travel for free when accompanied by a full line return holding adult.

Bury Transport Museum plays host to the Transport Collectors Fair this weekend. Browse stalls chock full of memorabilia and souvenirs and take in the interactive exhibitions. Lancashire Weekend – 22 – 23 November 2014

The East Lancashire Railway commemorates the day in 1295 when Lancashire sent its first representatives to Parliament by King Edward I of England to attend what later became known as The Model Parliament. Celebrate this momentous event with us! Every two adults wearing red roses will be offered two for one full line return travel on the railway! To further mark the occasion The Trackside bar will be selling traditional Lancastrian food and a town crier will be reading the Lancashire Proclamation. No other discounts or promotions allowed, conditions apply.
