Get ready for a ho ho ho-larious good time on one of our enchanting Santa Special Trains. A Christmas tradition for many in the North West, the Santa Special is back after a record breaking run last year.
The Santa Specials run every weekend from 26 November to the 18 December and from Wednesday 21 December to Saturday 24 December as Santa gets ready for the big day. Meet the jolly man himself and his helpers as they hand out presents for the kids and a mince pie and festive drink for the adults. See the beautiful decorations on both the carriages and in the station, enjoy Christmas carols and live brass bands. There really is no better way to get into the festive spirit!

Tickets*
- Adults (aged 16 and over) £12.50 each
- Children (aged 3+) £10.50 each
- Children (aged under 3) £10.50 (seated) £7.50 (unseated)
* No concessionary, platform tickets, residents’ fares or working members/partners passes available.
How to book
Pre booking is essential for all trains. Booking is not available on the day of the event.
To make a booking please choose your preferred date and time and then:
- book online (please note that a booking and postage fee may apply)
- ring the ELR booking office on 0161 764 7790 (daily 10 – 4pm) or QuayTickets booking office on 0843 208 0500 (Monday – Saturday 9.30am – 8pm; Sunday & Bank Holidays 10am – 8pm)*
- visit us at the Information Office at Bury Station, Bolton Street, Bury BL9 0EY (daily 10am – 4pm)*
- complete and return the booking form*
* Payment can be made by credit or debit card, cheque or cash. If you book in person, payment can only be made at Bury Bolton Street Station.
