The East Lancashire Railway's newest station, opened in January 2017, is located at the picturesque Burrs Country Park, just one mile out of Bury Town Centre.

Burrs is one of Bury's earliest industrial sites notable for its use of water and its association with the Peel Family. Although many of the buildings which once made up the two mill communities at Burrs and Higher Woodhill have now gone, enough remains to give an interesting insight into manufacturing technology and life in the early nineteenth century.

The Green Flag award-winning park boasts 36 hectares of scenic countryside and is home to Burrs Outdoor Activity Centre where visitors can go white-water rafting, kayaking and canoeing, a café and pub and one of the UK's most popular Caravan Club sites.

Why not pay a visit to the Brand new Lamp Post Cafe! Visitors with a valid East Lancashire Railway travel ticket will receive 10% off food and drinks!
