Find out how much a trip on the East Lancashire Railway costs

We have several different ticket options for your journey on the ELR, depending on how often you’d like to travel and if you’re entitled to any concessions. Our most common ticket option for families is an advanced travel ticket.

Please Note that tickets purchased will say 09:00 , this is a generic time and you can use any service on the day of purchase. Please refer to the published timetable of your day of travel for train times.

Special events and experiences are priced differently.

Please note: Advance purchase fares are unavailable for dates when Day Out With Thomas operates. However, it is possible to purchase a ticket for the ‘NON-THOMAS’ services on the day from one of our booking offices or on the train to travel on our scheduled services as indicated in the timetable.

Full Line Return

Ideal for first time visitors and the perfect choice for a family day out. Pick any station to start your journey and complete one full round trip of the line. You can hop off at any stop to break up your journey and explore the local sights too.
