Like many charities in the UK we are facing significant increases in our operating costs this means that now more than ever we need your support to keep our railway running.
Your donations help us to maintain the railway, restore historic locomotives, run SEND friendly events and much more. This all ensures that we can continue to protect this remarkable piece of railway heritage for future generations to learn from and enjoy.

It’s quick and easy to donate to ELR. You can send us a one off donation or a regular monthly amount. If you’re a UK taxpayer, you can even add Gift Aid to your donation so we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.

Help us to restore LMS Jinty 47324
Extensive work has already taken place on this locomotive in order to get it back onto our rails. Your donation will help us to ensure that we can finish the last stages and get Jinty back on our rails soon.
This locomotive has been off our rails since 2014 we hope to have it back on our rails again soon your donations will help to get this project over the finish line!

Help us restore the ‘Red Crab’ Steam Locomotive
We need your help. We are looking to complete the restoration of LMS ‘Red Crab’ 13065 to help provide locomotive operations along the ELR for future generations.
This appeal for £150,000, will fund necessary work on the boiler and frames. Any donations would be appreciated.
