A historic Beer Festival at Bury Transport Museum.
Friday 18 September – Sunday 20 September 2026
Running in partnership with CAMRA and coinciding with the Autumn Diesel Gala celebrations, this event will be the first-ever Beer and Cider festival to take place in the Bury Transport Museum! Sup a range of regional beverages whilst lost in contemplation of our local history via the immaculately preserved exhibits.
The festival will feature 20 casks from Lancashire-based breweries and 20 casks from Yorkshire. Imagine the War of the Roses, but with a lot less political intrigue and a lot more delicious ale.
And as far as evocative settings go, you can’t go wrong with Bury Transport Museum. This converted Victorian Goods Warehouse is filled with heritage vehicles, from double-decker buses to a horse-drawn tram. If you haven’t sampled a lovingly brewed beer whilst admiring a vintage post van from the 1950s, then have you really lived?
Food vans will also be in attendance so that you can make sure you’re not imbibing on an empty stomach.
