The first ever Vintage Vibes event was such a rip-roaring success that we’re bringing it back for another year, 23 and 24 May 2026! Once again we’re inviting you to join with like-minded music lovers in a celebration of the groovers and shakers of times gone by. This year we’re fully embracing the stadium scene, with heavy hitting tributes to Queen and Cher, as well as even more Northern Soul and 1980s bangers.
Tickets include unlimited train travel all day as well as access to all entertainment and the main stage!

Once again, we’re taking over both Bolton Street Station and The Trackside, as well as the station Car Park. This is where you’ll find our headline acts, but don’t miss out on the smaller stages and acts that will be dotted around. There will also be mini bars and stalls within easy reach so that you can keep the groove going all weekend!
Not only that, our partners at So Retro are returning, and they’re bringint their fantastic Vintage Fair. Mark the occasion by picking up a vintage vinyl or express yourself with a classic band T-Shirt, its music, fashion, homeware and nostalgia, all in one spot!

Yes! And your ticket includes travel for all trains, all day! Both steam and diesel locomotives will be in action (unless any technical gremlins appear! 👀), making the day extra special! 🚂💨
Due to the nature of the event, we can’t allow furry friends into the main stage area, however they are more than welcome to travel on the trains. We’ll miss them! 🐶
If it’s lightweight, portable, and not secretly a deckchair for a mid-event nap, then go for it! But we doo have some available seating if you’d rather travel light. 🪑 😴
Yes to food, no to alcohol! You’re welcome to bring a picnic, but don’t worry, if you’re not a picnic planner, we have plenty of delicious food vendors to keep you satisfied!
However bringing your own alcohol is NOT permitted. 🍔🍹

Evening shuttles.
Shuttle service is INCLUDED in your ticket!!
From 17:30 we will have two DMU shuttles in operation.
One shuttle will be between Heywood Station and Bury Station – great if you parking your Car at Heywood.
The second shuttle will be between Rawtenstall & Bury.
Both shuttles will be up and down throughout the evening with the last departure scheduled for both DMU’s after the music finishes.

Your ticket gets you entry into the live music event at Bolton Street car park, AND unlimited travel on any steam or diesel train throughout the day and evening! We have entertainment planned at all our other manned stations too. Your ticket also gets you entry into Bury Transport Museum. 🚂🎟️
Any train you like! Hop on and off as much as you want—it’s all part of the experience! 🚂💨

Yes! A little rain won’t stop the music! 🌧️🎶 We’ve got some sheltered areas, but if you’re up for dancing in the rain, go for it! Otherwise, we recommend umbrellas and ponchos – there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing☔💃

Bury – CLICK HERE Also Bury Bolton Street Station is only a 9 minute walk away from Bury Interchange and Metro link!
Rawtenstall – CLICK HERE – Rawtenstall station in located a 9 minute walk from Rawtenstall Bus Station. The evening shuttle will go between Rawtenstall and Bury.
Heywood – CLICK HERE – Has a large, complimentary car park. The evening shuttle will go between Heywood and Bury.
Ramsbottom – CLICK HERE
Think adventure-ready rather than fashion runway – there are some uneven surfaces, so sturdy shoes or comfy boots are recommended. 👢
Tickets are available to purchase on the day, however they are only available until 6:30 pm and at an increased rate.

While every effort is made to operate advertised services with the scheduled locomotive, the Company reserves the right to substitute the advertised locomotive with another heritage locomotive (steam or diesel) at its discretion and without prior notice.
Substitutions may be necessary for reasons including, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions (e.g., high fire risk), mechanical issues, operational constraints, or safety considerations.
Such substitutions shall not constitute a significant alteration of the service and do not entitle passengers to a refund, partial refund, compensation, or transfer, provided the advertised journey, catering provision (if applicable), and other core elements of the experience are fulfilled with reasonable care and skill.
By purchasing a ticket, passengers accept that locomotive substitutions are a recognised possibility inherent to the operation of heritage railways and do not diminish the service’s overall value when delivered per these terms.
