Find out how much a trip on the East Lancashire Railway costs

We have several different ticket options for your journey on the ELR, depending on how often you’d like to travel.

Please note: standard travel (Day Rover / One Full Line Trip) tickets purchased will have a generic departure time, and you can use any service on the day of purchase. Please refer to the published timetable of your day of travel for train times.

In order to purchase a ticket and travel you MUST be over the age of 16. Under 16’s are only permitted to travel with an accompanying responsible adult over the age of 18 years old. Any persons who appear under the age of 18 years old will be asked to prove their age. If found to be under 16 years old they will have to leave the railway immediately.  There are NO exceptions to this rule.

Special events and experiences are priced differently.

Please note: Advance purchase fares are unavailable for dates when Day Out With Thomas operates. However, it is possible to purchase a ticket for the ‘NON-THOMAS’ services on the day from one of our booking offices or on the train to travel on our scheduled services as indicated in the timetable.

All online orders are subject to a Booking Fee of £2.50 (per booking, not per ticket).
