Meccano Model Exhibition

Tech it to the limit!

The Bury Transport Museum is playing host to the North Western Meccano Guild to house a display of expertly made Meccano models. These intricate machines are a great way to teach younger people about mechanical engineering, as they need to be constructed with the care and attention to detail as full-sized machines in real life.

The museum makes the perfect space to display these miniature mechanical marvels, and there will even be a section devoted to plastic Meccano where little ones can build their own models and have fun.

Entrance to the museum is free with an East Lancashire Railway Day Rover ticket, so why not complete your day out with a ride on one of our steam trains!
