The Hamers Arms and The Footballers are two traditional inns serving a selection of real, local ales, just a short stroll from the station.
For those that enjoy the great outdoors Summerseat Nature Reserve is located adjacent to the station with beautiful woodland and meadows to explore. A Garden Centre can also be found in the centre of the village selling flowers and home-baked cakes.

Summerseat Roadworks Special Fares
The East Lancashire railway has been made aware of roadworks taking place in Summerseat Village from mid-July to mid-September.
The railway really does consider itself part of the local community and would therefore like to lend a helping-hand during the ongoing works by offering heavily discounted Residents Permit rates for those boarding the train at Summerseat Station for the duration of the disruption.
The discounted rates are as follows (please note that they do not cover activities at special events):
- Freedom of the Line (unlimited travel) = £9.00
- Full Line Return Adult = £6.00
- Full Line Return Concession/Child = £4.00
We hope that this will go a little way to help during this tumultuous time.
