Find out how much a trip on the East Lancashire Railway costs

We have several different ticket options for your journey on the ELR, depending on how often you’d like to travel and if you’re entitled to any concessions. Our most common ticket option for families is an advanced travel ticket.

Please Note that standard  travel ( Day Rover / One Full Line Trip) tickets purchased will have a generic departure time , you can use any service on the day of purchase. Please refer to the published timetable of your day of travel for train times.

Special events and experiences are priced differently.

Please note: Advance purchase fares are unavailable for dates when Day Out With Thomas operates. However, it is possible to purchase a ticket for the ‘NON-THOMAS’ services on the day from one of our booking offices or on the train to travel on our scheduled services as indicated in the timetable.

Effective the 22nd June 2022 the East Lancashire Railway will not be accepting Activity Superstore/UseMyGift Steam Train Ride for Two Vouchers.

Please refer back to the voucher issuer for details on how to book at another venue.
