Autumn Diesel Gala

This Autumn, we’re hosting an all-diesel ‘Traction and Track extravaganza’!

Join us for another celebration of all things diesel powered, featuring guest Class 26, 26007 and Class 40, D345.

Iconic locomotives, shunters and railcars from our highly regarded home fleet will also be running. Popular ‘Romanian’ Class 56, 56006 is back hauling trains for the first time in 3 years, whilst the veteran Class 01 Shunter will be popular with those that are out to ‘scoop’ new engines.

The event will see diesel services running an intensive passenger timetable throughout (subject to availability), with some trains traversing ‘rare track’:

Features:

On both days, ‘track bashers’ can enjoy a:

• Trip as far as Hopwood (no boarding or alighting!);
• Departure from Bury Station Platform 1 (Bay);
• Train in/out Rawtenstall Bay Platform.
