We have just launched the tickets for our much-loved Santa Specials, continuing a cherished festive tradition that has been the heart of Bury’s Christmas celebrations for nearly 40 years.
This November and December, the Santa Specials will once again welcome families from across the region for an immersive festive experience that has delighted generations. For almost four decades, the event has brought the magic of Christmas to the Irwell Valley, becoming one of the North West’s most anticipated seasonal attractions.
This year promises to be more magical than ever, with every detail carefully crafted to create the perfect start to the festive season.
Visitors will begin their magical journey at Bury Station, where they will step into a winter wonderland walkthrough filled with festive sights and sounds. Along the way, guests will meet and interact with colourful Christmas characters like Mrs Claus and the Ice Princess and enjoy the gorgeous decorations.
The magic continues on board as families travel along the historic railway line while meeting Santa and his cheerful helpers. The experience is designed for all ages, offering a truly memorable Christmas adventure for families, friends, and visitors. Whether visiting for the first time or returning as part of a treasured annual tradition, the 2026 Santa Specials promise an unforgettable experience for all ages.
